With markets still riding high, there is lots of talk about an impending correction. There’s no doubt, it’ll come at some point, and that’s about the time many people start making bad decisions about their investments. So today’s greatest hits show is a redux of a show from August 2014 about keeping your head in a financial storm.

This podcast is brought to you with the help of Seven Investment Management, a firm of investment managers based in London. They specialise in multi-asset investing, bringing institutional investing techniques to ordinary people like you and me. 7IM put their name to my show and to my site because they believe in what I’m doing, trying to get decent, easy-to-understand financial information out to the world. I’m very grateful to them for their support.

Keeping your head in a financial storm
I heard a stat recently that said that financial markets correct by 10% three times per year on average. I should say I have no idea if that’s true or not, but what IS true is that investments go up and down. The question is, should you care? And, what do you do WHEN, not if, it happens? This show will help when the storm comes, I promise you.
There are some comments in the show that date it, like me just moving into my office, which happened three years ago, and I comment on it being six years or so since the worst of the financial crisis, and that’s now eight and a half years ago.
But you know, it doesn’t matter. There’s good stuff here – enjoy!
