It’s another new season here on MeaningfulMoney and as always, I’m excited at the prospect of digging deep into a subject. Looking back over the seasons completed to date, I realised that I haven’t so far addressed the main challenges encountered by folks who are getting started with their financial journey. This season seeks to address that.

The Financial Challenges Faced by Millennials
I battled long and hard about what to name this season. I didn’t want to call it the Getting Started season, as it’s a bit more than that. It occurred to me while planning this that the cohort of people most likely to be in the sweet spot for the content with is coming over the next few weeks, is likely to be the Millennials. That’s the generation born (depending on who you listen to) between 1980 and 2000.
At first, I was hesitant to name the season Millennial Finance because that would potentially alienate those folks who are getting started with their money, but who are maybe starting late. But you know what, sometimes you have to call it like it is, and as I have planned the season, it turns out that I will be speaking directly to the Millennials, so Millennial Finance it is!
In today's season intro, I’ll introduce the six key challenges faced by those looking to make a good start with their financial planning.
