Financial success is about repeating some simple steps over and over for a long time. Contrary to popular opinion right now, it isn’t about buying Bitcoin. But over that long time, you’ll get in your own way, and in this show, I show you how to recognise this and what to do about it.

This podcast is brought to you with the help of Seven Investment Management, a firm of investment managers based in London. They specialise in multi-asset investing, bringing institutional investing techniques to ordinary people like you and me. 7IM put their name to my show and to my site because they believe in what I’m doing, trying to get decent, easy-to-understand financial information out to the world. I’m very grateful to them for their support.

How to keep going
We’re our own worst enemies – I know this first hand, as I always wake up with good intentions (I WILL exercise, I WILL not eat crap) and pretty soon those voices speak up (don’t worry about it; you can start tomorrow) and it all goes a bit pear shaped.
There are lots of names for this phenomenon, but an author called Stephen Pressfield coined the phrase: The Resistance. He particularly applied it to the creative process getting blocked, but I reckon it applies just as much to trying to achieve anything of value, including financial success, and particularly if achieving that thing takes time. So, as usual, I’m go over what we need to KNOW first, and then look at some practical steps, what we need to DO, to keep going when the voices in our head are telling us to stop.
