S8E4: Greatest Hits – Put your finances on autopilot

November 22, 2017
Financial success generally takes a while. And because that’s the case, we have to make decisions, often the same decision over and over again. And all the while we’re being bombarded with reasons to make the wrong decisions, or deferring decisions when they need to be made. What if you could automate many of those decisions so that they happen without your input? In this session from 2015, I’ll be showing you how.

7IM LogoThis podcast is brought to you with the help of Seven Investment Management, a firm of investment managers based in London. They specialise in multi-asset investing, bringing institutional investing techniques to ordinary people like you and me. 7IM put their name to my show and to my site because they believe in what I’m doing, trying to get decent, easy-to-understand financial information out to the world. I’m very grateful to them for their support.

You can see what they’re up to at 7im.co.uk

Put your finances on autopilot

I like shortcuts. Perhaps you do too! If I could be thin and ripped without watching what I eat or going to the gym, I’d be a very, VERY happy man.

When it comes to finance, it is important in the early days to be conscious and intentional about the decisions you make so you can be aware of the implications and outcomes of those decisions and WHY you are making them. But there are lots of decisions which are repeated over and over again, or should be, and those can be automated to make sure they happen no matter what.

So as usual, I cover what you need to know and what you need to do when it comes to financial automation.
